I made my mom very happy this morning. At school we planted seeds and decorated it with a photo of myself in a flower frame. My seeds grew into little plants and my mom promised to try not to kill them. My picture was my favorite silly face. The photo below is an older picture of me making my silly face... although you can admire my beautiful Easter eggs if you like.
The most difficult part of Mother's Day was keeping my present a surprise. I brought the gift home from school on Thursday. Dad helped me put in the laundry room where mom wouldn't see it. My favorite place to hide things, though, is my play house. I kept trying to move the plant to the play house and as I would do so I'd run by mom while loudly repeating "Mom! Don't look!"
Dad and I also got mom a card (which he helped me sign) and a book filled with cookie recipes. One of my favorite mother/daughter activities is cooking and one of my favorite foods is cookies. We've already picked out three varieties to try!
Right now dad is at the store buying us the ingredients we need for the cookies and food to grill out for dinner... which means I get to eat another of my favorite foods: hot dogs!
